Zella Rose

Zella Ashford is the mother of owner, Lasondra Pontarelli. She was not only beautiful on the outside, but she was equally beautiful on the inside as well. She had a beautiful soul and a truly infectious smile. On October 24, 1999 Zella passed away from Leukemia at the age of 29. Unwillingly leaving behind two daughters Lasondra (10) and Essence (2). Zella’s favorite color was red and she loved all things beauty. Lasondra always wanted to own a salon ever since she could remember but that was the extent of the dream. God placed a vision in her heart to open a salon named after her mother Zella.

This brand is a chance for Lasondra to keep her mother’s memory alive. It is an opportunity to turn a tragic life event into something beautiful while doing what she loves. This brand is dedicated to her as reflected in the black silhouette image within the Zella Rose logo. The image is her actual profile digitalized from a physical Kodak photo.
